Alexander College is seeking to recruit a Full-Time Lecturer in Computer Science to join the academic team of the BSc Computer Science with Gaming Development programme at our Larnaca Campus.
The programme is a four-year, full-time, CYQAA-accredited undergraduate degree, taught in Greek, with a focus on Computer Science, software development, game development, practical learning, and industry-based projects.
Main Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Teach undergraduate Computer Science modules
Prepare and deliver lectures, labs, seminars, and practical sessions
Support students through academic guidance and feedback
Contribute to assessment, marking, and academic quality processes
Supervise projects and dissertations where required
Participate in programme development and departmental activities
Support research and academic development within the department
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must have:
A PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field
Strong knowledge in areas such as software development, programming, databases, artificial intelligence, game development, cybersecurity, or related Computer Science fields
Teaching experience in higher education will be considered an advantage
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to teach in Greek and/or English
