Ermina Papasolomou & Co LLC, a law firm based in Limassol, is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, experienced and dedicated Senior Litigation Lawyer to join its legal team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, substantial experience in handling court proceedings and the ability to independently manage a diverse portfolio of contentious legal matters. The position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigation lawyer to undertake significant responsibilities, handle complex legal disputes, represent clients before the Cyprus Courts and further develop their professional expertise within a supportive and professional legal environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently managing civil litigation cases from initial assessment through to final resolution.
Representing clients before the District Courts of Cyprus and other competent courts in civil proceedings.
Handling contractual, commercial, banking, debt recovery, landlord and tenant, and family law disputes.
Drafting and reviewing pleadings, court applications, affidavits, written submissions, and other litigation documents.
Ensuring compliance with procedural rules, court directions, and filing deadlines.
Conducting legal research on Cyprus legislation, case law, and procedural regulations, and preparing legal opinions and advice.
Advising clients on legal matters, providing regular case updates, and representing them in settlement negotiations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualified lawyer and registered member of the Cyprus Bar Association, with at least 7 years of post-qualification experience.
Proven experience in independently handling litigation cases and representing clients before Cyprus Courts.
Excellent knowledge of Cyprus civil law, civil procedure, and court rules.
Strong drafting skills in court pleadings, applications, affidavits, and other legal documents.
Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Gross monthly salary of up to €3.800, depending on the candidate's professional experience, qualifications and skills.
13th salary
21 days of annual leave
Working schedule:
Monday to Thursday: 08:30–17:30, including a one-hour lunch break.
Friday: 08:30–14:00.
