On behalf of our client, a well-established and growing organization operating in the construction and real estate sector, we are seeking to recruit an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join its finance team in Limassol.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end reporting, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting financial operations across construction projects through accurate cost monitoring, reporting and financial administration.
The role requires previous experience within the construction industry, where the successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to support project-related financial activities and contribute to the efficient operation of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounting records and perform daily bookkeeping activities.
Record, review and reconcile bank transactions and bank accounts.
Prepare and process supplier invoices, payments and reconciliations.
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end closing procedures.
Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger.
Support project accounting, including the allocation and monitoring of construction-related costs.
Assist with VAT returns and ensure compliance with local tax and accounting regulations.
Prepare financial reports, schedules and supporting documentation for management.
Liaise with external auditors and provide support during annual audits.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely processing of documentation.
Contribute to process improvements and finance automation initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
LCCI Higher Level
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, within the construction and/or real estate industry.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
Excellent command of both Greek and English, written and spoken.
Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
