About the Club

On behalf of our client, one of the most historic and respected football clubs in Cyprus, based in Larnaca, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join its finance team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the club's day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, maintaining financial records, and assisting with accounting processes in a fast-paced and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Issue invoices, cash receipts, and other accounting documents.
• Process and post supplier invoices accurately into the accounting system.
• Perform reconciliations of suppliers, customers, and bank accounts.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Monitor outstanding balances and assist with payment follow-ups where required.
• Support month-end accounting procedures and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and relevant legislation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in an accounting position.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with invoicing, bookkeeping, and account reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of Greek and English, both written and spoken.

Will Be Considered an Advantage

• Experience in a corporate, sports, hospitality, or commercial environment.
• Experience using accounting or ERP software.
• Knowledge of VAT procedures and general bookkeeping practices.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 09:00 – 17:00

What is Offered

• Gross monthly salary of €1,500 – €1,700, depending on experience.
