CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established residential property development company with over 30 years of history here in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join their growing team based in Larnaca. The successful candidate will handle a range of accounting and bookkeeping duties, including processing VAT and Payroll, and carrying out a range of reconciliations. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other closely related fields, and holders of the LCCI Higher accounting certification are encouraged to apply. You will need to possess 3+ years of experience in a similar accounting and bookkeeping role, and you will need to hold knowledge of accounting software and MS Office applications. An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience, and working hours are from 08:00 – 16:00 from Monday to Friday with some flexibility.
 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Keeping accounting books and preparing financial statements.
• Process VAT and Payroll.
• Reconciliation of banks, debtors, creditors, and inter-company accounts.
• Monitoring rent, maintenance expenses, loans, and investments.
• Preparation of monthly cash flow reports.
• Communication with property management companies and other external partners.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Holder of LCCI Level 3 Higher certificate, will be considered an advantage.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar accounting position.
• Excellent knowledge of Greek and very good knowledge of English.
• Very good knowledge of Cycom Sofia, knowledge of Sage will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office (especially Excel & Word).
• Experience in corporate accounting matters (real estate experience would be considered an advantage).
• Ability to organize, be precise and communicate effectively.
