CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding provider of Audit, Accounting & Tax related services to a diverse portfolio of both local and international clients, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Manager to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As an Accounting Manager, you will act as a strategic partner by supporting the development and implementation of the company’s financial and operational plans. As part of your role, you will supervise, train, and review the work of the accounting team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field of study, who are full members of a recognised accounting body (ACA/ACCA/CPA). You will need to possess approximately 5+ years of experience in a relevant role, and be fluent in both Greek and English. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic partner by supporting the development and implementation of the company’s financial and operational plans.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, transaction recording, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Supervise, train, and review the work of the accounting team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Review and authorize VAT returns, VIES forms, and other statutory submissions.
- Prepare and analyse management reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external stakeholders on accounting and tax-related matters.
- Provide clients with guidance and advice on accounting, VAT, and compliance issues.
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery.
- Monitor project efficiency, ensure timely invoicing, and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Present financial results and insights to senior management to support decision-making.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Key Skills/Experience:
- ACA/ACCA qualified with a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of audit firm experience, including at least 3 years post-qualification.
- Excellent knowledge of Cyprus accounting standards and regulations.
- Exposure in accounting software (e.g.E-soft, Odoo).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Effective teamwork and independent working capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills in Greek and English.
- IT literate and adaptable.
- High integrity and a positive, can-do attitude.
