P. MANGAS & SONS LTD counts more than 150 employees in its store in Limassol, maintaining a business that is constantly expanding in terms of clientele and also in activities. Founded in 1978, the company imports and distributes selected DIY and home improvement products for professionals and individuals who love craftsmanship, quality, smart solutions and favorable prices.

 

The Position

An Accounting Officer is responsible in maintaining the overall accuracy of the accounts, ledgers and financial records. She/He is also responsible in performing a range of administrative and accounting tasks on a day to day basis to keep that accounts up to date. 

 

Main Duties:

• Tracking incoming payments
• Recording and reconciling all incoming financial transactions received
• Issuing invoices and receipts to clients for money received
• Resolving outstanding payments and sending collection statements
• Updating account information and records of clients, dealing with their queries
• Credit control for new customers and performing ongoing customers account management including chasing overdue debt
• Assisting with internal control implementation
• Assisting with audits and checking for discrepancies in financial accounts
• Ensuring that financial records meet with company standards

Required Skills & Experience:

• At least 2 years’ experience in an AR related role and/or accounting duties
• Experience of using an accounting system to record accurate financial data
• Experience in using Excel, Outlook, Word and other MS Office products
• Ability to review and interpret data/information
• Ability to anticipate opportunities and risks
