Chemist – West Limassol Wastewater Treatment Plant

On behalf of the Joint Venture Kruger A/S – Cybarco Limited, the Contractor responsible for the Design, Build and Operation of the West Limassol Wastewater Treatment Plant, we are seeking to recruit a Chemist for the Plant's Laboratory.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the laboratory.
• Perform routine laboratory analyses and coordinate the execution of internal and external laboratory testing.
• Operate and maintain laboratory facilities in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner.
• Develop, implement, and maintain laboratory operating, maintenance, calibration, and quality control procedures, schedules, and programmes.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities in a clean, organized, and operational condition.
• Coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Manage the receipt, storage, handling, and inventory of laboratory chemicals, reagents, consumables, and other materials.
• Prepare laboratory reports and maintain complete and accurate records in accordance with established procedures.
• Support and maintain the Laboratory Quality Management System in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, including internal quality control, equipment calibration, method validation, proficiency testing, measurement uncertainty, and documentation.

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another relevant scientific discipline.
• Previous experience in an analytical laboratory operating under recognized quality standards will be considered an advantage.
• Previous practical experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory and familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 quality management requirements will be considered a strong advantage.
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong time management, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent command of both Greek and English, written and spoken.
• Excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
