HOTEL CHIEF ENGINEER 

PAPHOS

Our firm, acting on behalf of a reputable hotel client (4* hotel in Paphos), is seeking to recruit a high-calibre professional for the position of Chief Engineer (Head of Maintenance Department).

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure quality upkeep of the building, grounds, and functionality of all systems. 

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to enhance efficiency and extend equipment lifespan. 

• Oversee all maintenance operations, ensuring the hotel’s infrastructure, equipment, and facilities are maintained at optimal performance. 

• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance team, providing leadership and technical expertise. 

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices. 

• Collaborate with management to plan and execute renovations, upgrades, and emergency repairs. 

• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently. 

• Respond to emergency maintenance calls.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant certifications in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related fields. 

• Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering or maintenance management within a hotel or similar establishment. 

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems. 

• Ability to work under pressure and manage emergency situations effectively. 

• Proven ability to lead, supervise, and train a team of technicians and maintenance staff. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Candidates who meet the academic qualifications and demonstrate strong technical competence, even if not previously employed as a Chief Engineer, will also be considered.
