Our client, a leading and growing organisation, is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its team.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Develop and execute the organisation’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives and growth plans.
Lead the finance function, ensuring effective financial management, robust controls, and operational excellence.
Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, treasury, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
Monitor financial performance against strategic objectives, identify trends and risks, and provide actionable recommendations to the executive leadership team.
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, management accounts, board-level reporting, and strategic financial analysis.
Ensure effective cash flow management and maintain appropriate financial controls to support business continuity and growth.
Oversee statutory financial reporting, tax compliance, regulatory requirements, and audit processes, maintaining strong relationships with external auditors and advisors.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in senior finance leadership roles, such as CFO, Finance Director, Financial Controller, or equivalent.
Proven experience leading a finance function and contributing to strategic business decisions.
Strong understanding of financial management, governance, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
Experience managing relationships with auditors, banks, regulators, and external stakeholders.
Excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and commercial awareness.
Ability to work independently, take ownership, and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
Strong proficiency in MS Office application. Experience with ERP systems and Softone accounting system will be considered an advantage.
Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food production, distribution or retail environments will be considered an advantage.
