CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading provider of affordable living spaces for first-time buyers and families in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Civil Engineer to join their growing team based at their headquarters in Larnaca. A role entailing both onsite and office-based work, our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Civil Engineering or another closely related, who possess approximately 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally gained working with high quality residential developments here in Cyprus. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, and working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Friday. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Conduct technical appraisals of proposed development sites, analyzing constraints such as access, zoning, soil conditions, utility availability, and planning feasibility.
• Translate the client’s strategic vision into a detailed civil engineering brief for the design team.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other consultants to ensure a fully harmonized and clash-free design package.
• Review and approve both preliminary and final design documentation, ensuring technical robustness, constructability, and full compliance with Cyprus and EU regulations.
• Minimize the time between the issuance of the planning permits and the preparation of the structural designs.
• Prepare the specifications of each project, based on management guidelines.
• Work with the selected contractor/or Quantity Surveyor to finalize the detailed Bill of Quantities and establish the final construction cost for the contractual agreement.
• Conduct regular site visits to inspect construction progress, verify workmanship quality, and ensure alignment with approved civil and architectural plans.
• Lead or participate in site meetings with contractors and consultants, providing technical guidance and resolving design or site-related issues promptly.
• Lead and coordinate the snagging process.
• Meet with potential clients and support the presentation of the projects.
• Support the client contract preparation, signing and implementation of the contract in terms of payments.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Holder of a Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Approximately 4+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Very good knowledge of Greek and English.
• Member of ETEK.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Holder of a driver's licence.
