CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a well-established independent International Classification Society for sea going vessels and other marine structures, we are seeking to recruit an Environmental Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an Environmental Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the verification team with organizing and executing verification operations, client liaison and correspondence, service agreement preparation, and reporting. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Shipping, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or any other related field, with experience in any of the following GHG Emissions Schemes considered an advantage: IMO DCS, CII, SEEMP, EU MRV, EU ETS, UK ETS, FUEL EU, Clean Shipping Index, ISO 14064-1, ISO 14064-2, and/or experience working with ISO standards, such as ISO 9001. A highly attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th salary, and Provident Fund.
 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Organize and execute verification operations.
• Liaise and correspond with clients.
• Prepare service agreements.
• Assist with reporting.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

• University degree in Shipping, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or any other related field.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work under pressure.
• Fluency in English.
• Decision making, pragmatic approach.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to adhere to deadlines.
• Computer literate.
