Akelius Foundation is currently looking for qualified and enthusiastic teaching professional to join our team as a Greek language teacher, providing non-formal education to children and adults with refugee background.
This is a full-time position based in Nicosia.
responsibilities
- teach migrant and refugee children and adults in various NGOs
- plan, prepare and deliver lessons
- contribute to the creation of engaging teaching materials for different Greek levels (A1-C2)
requirements
- degree in Greek Philology, Greek Language and Literature or Linguistics, or equivalent degree, or qualifications in Teaching Greek as a Second/ Foreign Language
- fluent in English
- previous teaching experience in Greek as a second/foreign language
- excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- strong sense of initiative and self-motivation
- flexible, enthusiastic and eager to learn from others
