Purpose of Role/Summary:
The Junior Financial Reporting Officer supports the Group’s financial reporting function, assisting in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, management accounts and regulatory reporting across group entities in accordance with IFRS and applicable regulatory frameworks.
Working under the supervision of senior members of the finance team, the role assists with the month-end and quarter-end close, account reconciliations, intercompany matters and the maintenance of accurate accounting records in SAP Business One, supporting the timely delivery of the Group’s reporting obligations.
Main Activities and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management accounts for group entities in accordance with IFRS
- Support the month-end and quarter-end close process, including the posting of journal entries, accruals and prepayments
- Perform bank, intercompany and balance-sheet account reconciliations, and investigate and resolve reconciling items
- Maintain accurate accounting records in SAP Business One, ensuring completeness and correct classification of transactions
- Assist with consolidation workings and intercompany elimination entries across group entities
- Support the preparation of regulatory and statutory reporting submissions and assist the auditors during interim and year-end audits
- Assist with intercompany transactions, confirmations and settlements, including multi-currency entries
- Prepare supporting schedules, working papers and variance analyses for review by senior team members
- Assist in maintaining fixed-asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies and reporting deadlines
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and process-improvement initiatives as required
- Any other duties that are requested and relevant to the role
Required Skills & Experience:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related field
- Studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CPA), or part-qualified (an advantage)
- 1+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting or audit; experience within financial services or an investment firm is an advantage
- Working knowledge of IFRS
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel; experience with SAP Business One or a similar ERP is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and organizational skills
- Ability to meet reporting deadlines and to work effectively as part of a team
- Fluency in English; Greek an advantage

- Working hours are 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday (or as per the departmental flextime arrangement)
