The Nautical Crewing Coordinator (NCC) acts as the central link between HR, Planning, and Fleet Operations to ensure river cruise ships are fully and cost-effectively crewed year-round. Responsible for day-to-day crew planning, onboarding, and supporting recruitment processes, the CM ensures staffing aligns with operational demands and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Crew Rotation (≈ 60%)

• Monitor and maintain real-time crew status per vessel
• Coordinate crew schedules and ad hoc changes in collaboration with the Planning Team
• Input and track changes in planning tool; manage extra days and planning accuracy
• Partner with Corporate Captains on rapid crew replacement (e.g., sick leave, accidents)
• Responsible for the planning for internal training programs
• Monitoring of the planning emails

Cross-functional / Admin (≈ 20%)

• Maintain key planning tools: Corporate Overview, Duty Control and ABACUS/AbaPlan
• Support administrative processes tied to crewing

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, inland navigation experience is required
• 2+ years in crewing, scheduling, or comparable operational planning
• Familiarity with HRIS/crew planning software

• Crisis Management: Provides swift, cost-efficient crew solutions
• Languages: Fluent in English (spoken & written); Dutch, German or other languages is a plus
• Strong administrative and communication skills

• Director HR Crew, Planning Manager, Corporate Captain, Corporate Fleet Manager, Nautical & Technical Directors, HR Managers

External:

·         Pilots and Crewing agencies
