Job Description – Operations Coordinator

About the Role:

Orbit Moving and Storage Ltd. is seeking a highly organized and motivated Operations Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with freight forwarding experience who is looking to build a long-term career in the international moving and relocation industry. The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of international household goods and personal effects shipments, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth operational execution from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate international household goods and personal effects shipments from origin to destination.
• Liaise daily with clients, shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents, customs brokers, and transport providers.
• Manage shipments throughout the entire moving process (A–Z), ensuring all milestones are completed accurately and on time.
• Prepare shipping documentation and maintain accurate shipment records.
• Issue customer invoices and ensure all operational documentation is complete.
• Provide regular updates to clients regarding the status of their shipments.
• Coordinate packing, transportation, customs clearance, and final delivery arrangements.
• Resolve operational issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain excellent communication with both domestic and international partners.
• Ensure company procedures and industry standards are always followed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in freight forwarding or international moving is essential.
• Excellent spoken and written English is a must. Knowledge of the Greek language is also required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude.

Training:

Comprehensive training will be provided on Orbit Moving and Storage Ltd.’s systems, procedures, and operational processes. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a thorough understanding of the complete international moving process from enquiry through to final delivery.
