About Us:

Leonardo Boutique Hotel Venetian Nicosia is dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Porter plays a key role in creating a welcoming first impression, assisting guests with luggage, and ensuring smooth arrivals and departures.

Job Summary:

The Porter is responsible for handling guests’ luggage, maintaining cleanliness and order in public areas, providing information and guidance to guests, and supporting the Front Office and other hotel departments as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with luggage, escorting them to their rooms.
• Assist guests with departures, ensuring luggage is safely transported and vehicles are arranged if needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of entrance areas, lobby, corridors, and public spaces.
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences in public areas to the relevant department.
• Deliver guest requests promptly, such as extra towels, amenities, or luggage assistance.
• Support bell desk, valet services, and transportation arrangements as required.
• Provide guests with directions, information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
• Assist the Front Office with special requests, packages, and guest needs during check-in and check-out.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and ensure guest safety at all times.
• Handle guest property responsibly and report any incidents or damages immediately.
• Maintain professionalism, courtesy, and high levels of personal hygiene and appearance.
• Assist in the coordination of luggage for group arrivals and departures.
• Implement GDPR policies for guest data protection when handling guest-related documents.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management related to guest services or Front Office operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Porter, Bellboy, or in a hotel/guest service role preferred.
• Pleasant, friendly, and professional personality.
• Ability to lift and transport luggage safely.
• Good communication skills in Greek and English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to stand, walk, or move luggage for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork and guest-service orientation.
• Knowledge of hotel facilities, local area, and transportation options is a plus.
