Risk Analyst – Forex Industry

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Risk Analyst to join our team within a regulated Forex and CFD brokerage. This role is ideal for candidates with up to one year of experience who are interested in the financial markets, trading operations, and risk management. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting on risks in accordance with CySEC regulations and internal risk management frameworks. In addition, the role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of internal risk management policies, procedures, and controls, helping to strengthen the Company's overall risk culture.
The Risk Analyst will work closely with various departments to promote the effective implementation and adoption of risk policies and frameworks, ensuring that risk management principles are embedded within day-to-day operations. The role also involves conducting research on emerging risk management methodologies, technologies, and software solutions that can help automate, streamline, and enhance risk monitoring, reporting, and governance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Monitoring
- Monitor client trading activity and exposure across Forex and CFD products.
- Assist in monitoring margin levels, leverage utilization, stop-outs, and negative balance protection.
- Identify unusual trading patterns and escalate potential risk concerns.
- Support the monitoring of company exposure and hedging positions.
Risk Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly risk reports.
- Assist in analyzing trading data, client behavior, and exposure trends.
- Support stress testing and scenario analysis exercises.
- Maintain risk dashboards and key risk indicators (KRIs).
Operational & Regulatory Risk
- Assist in identifying operational risks and control weaknesses.
- Support compliance with CySEC, MiFID II, and internal risk management policies.
- Participate in risk assessments and internal control reviews.
- Assist with audit requests and regulatory reporting requirements.
Administrative Support
- Maintain risk records, logs, and documentation.
- Support the review and update of risk policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with dealing, compliance, finance, and operations teams on risk-related matters.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Knowledge of CySEC regulations, MiFID II, and other relevant frameworks.
- CySEC Advanced Certificate will be considered an advantage.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Experience
- Previous experience in a risk management or compliance role within a CySEC-regulated entity or work experience in financial services, banking, Forex, compliance, or risk management is considered an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with financial markets and Forex trading concepts is an advantage.

Working Hours: 09:00 to 18:00 with 1 hour lunch break.
