CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established technology company specializing in innovative automation and security solutions for residential and commercial properties across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Sales Engineer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, connecting, and setting up a wide range of automation and security systems. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, who possess previous experience in technical sales or sales engineering. Experience with automation, networking, audio/video, or security systems is essential, and previous experience in a sales engineering role is considered an advantage. Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Greek and English is a must. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th salary.
 

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Review architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings and project specifications.
• Prepare system designs and preliminary solution proposals.
• Develop technical and commercial quotations for automation and security systems.
• Select suitable equipment and prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and cost estimates.
• Prepare engineering calculations where required.
• Design solutions for:
  • Home & Building Automation.
  • Audio & Video Systems.
  • Wired & Wireless Networks.
  • Energy Management (Heating & Cooling Integration).
  • Lighting & Shading Control.
  • Security Systems.
• Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to collect technical information and ensure accurate proposal preparation.
• After having the experience needed, meet with customers to understand project requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
• Present technical solutions and proposals to customers.
• Collaborate closely with the design, project management, and installation teams during project development.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships throughout the sales cycle.
• Support project handover to the engineering team after project award.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, quality, and customer service.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in technical sales or sales engineering.
• Experience with automation, networking, audio/video, or security systems.
• Relevant industry certifications.
• Experience preparing technical quotations and project cost estimates.
• Strong interest in engineering, automation, and technology.
• Previous experience in a sales engineering-related role is considered an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Greek and English.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Clean criminal record.
