Varnavas Hadjipanayis Ltd (VHP Ltd) is one of the leading and most reputable companies in Cyprus founded in 1963. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Scientific Support & Applications Specialist to join our Diagnostics Department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a scientific professional who enjoys combining laboratory science with customer interaction, technical problem-solving, and continuous professional development. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting clinical diagnostic laboratories throughout Cyprus while working with leading diagnostic technologies and collaborating closely with our Sales & Marketing team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing scientific and technical support to clinical diagnostic laboratories throughout Cyprus.
• Delivering application training and ongoing support for diagnostic instrumentation.
• Conducting regular customer visits to provide technical assistance, troubleshooting, and application support.
• Developing customer-specific application solutions and recommending best practices.
• Collaborating closely with the Sales & Marketing team to support customers and business objectives.
• Liaising with suppliers to resolve technical and application-related issues.
• Maintaining strong customer relationships by delivering high-quality scientific support and professional service.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Diagnostics, or a related scientific discipline.
• A postgraduate qualification (MSc or PhD) in one of the above fields will be considered a strong advantage.
• At least 3 years of experience in scientific support and applications within the Clinical Diagnostics field.
• Ability to deliver operator training and provide ongoing application support for diagnostic instrumentation.
• Ability to identify customer needs and provide tailored scientific and technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers while representing the Company with professionalism and integrity.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Enthusiasm, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• High ethical standards, integrity, reliability, professionalism, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
• Fluency in both Greek and English, written and spoken.
• A valid Cypriot driving licence.

Relevant experience with specific diagnostic technologies or applications will be considered an additional advantage.
