As our Senior Lawyer (Real Estate & Corporate), you will be a key advisor to the business, leading complex transactions from structuring to closing and shaping how we manage our assets and projects. This is a senior in-house role with real influence on decision-making, close collaboration with top management and investors, and a long-term opportunity to grow.
Responsibilities
Lead real estate transactions from structuring to closing: advise on structure, analyse legal risks, and provide clear recommendations to management and investors.
Conduct and oversee legal due diligence on real estate assets and property holding companies (title, encumbrances, planning status, permits, zoning, utilities, etc.).
Draft, review and negotiate transaction documentation, including sale and purchase agreements, share purchase agreements, reservation agreements, escrow arrangements, security documents and related ancillary documentation.
Liaise with public and regulatory authorities in Cyprus on real estate and corporate matters (Land Registry, Planning and Building Authorities, Tax Department and others), including follow-up and resolving issues.
Handle lease and operation matters for both long-term and short-term use: draft and negotiate lease agreements, advise on landlord–tenant issues, assist with disputes and ongoing operational questions.
Advise on tax aspects related to the purchase, sale and ownership of real estate (e.g. capital gains tax, VAT, stamp duty, property-related taxes), working closely with tax and finance specialists.
Provide corporate governance support to Cyprus entities: preparation of corporate documents and resolutions, share transfers, changes in structure and management, and ongoing support to shareholders and directors.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (management, investments, finance, operations) and external advisors to drive projects to completion with a business-oriented and solution-focused mindset.
Requirements
7+ years of post-qualification legal experience, with at least 3+ years focused on real estate law in Cyprus.
Deep knowledge of Cyprus real estate and corporate law, including construction/urban planning and lease/sale/mortgage frameworks.
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills; ability to convert legal issues into practical solutions and support business decision-making under time pressure.
English and Russian or Greek – strong working proficiency (written and spoken).
Law degree from a recognised university.
High ethical standards, integrity and a client-oriented approach – you are trusted by management and counterparties alike.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage your workload independently, prioritise tasks and drive matters to completion.
Advantages

Knowledge and practical experience in Cyprus labour and migration law (e.g. employment contracts, work permits, immigration issues).
Greek language skills, particularly for dealing with authorities and Greek-language documentation.
Experience managing or mentoring a small legal team (1+ people).
Background in a reputable law firm or legal practice specialising in real estate, corporate or commercial law.
