Senior Mechanical Engineer – Caramondani Engineers

For over 60 years, Caramondani Engineers has delivered some of Cyprus' most significant electromechanical projects across the healthcare, hospitality, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and lead the successful delivery of complex mechanical installations across major projects.
The Role
You will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with project teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, you will play a key role in driving project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of mechanical installation works across major projects.
- Supervise and coordinate site engineering teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, technical submittals, and shop drawings.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve technical and operational challenges.
- Ensure all works comply with project specifications, applicable regulations, and company standards.
- Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, architects, and other project stakeholders.
- Oversee the delivery, inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Attend and lead technical and progress meetings, representing the company with professionalism and technical expertise.
- Support project planning, procurement activities, quality assurance, and cost-control processes.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across project teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registered Member of ETEK.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience managing mechanical installations within large-scale MEP projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM processes will be considered an advantage.
