CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a global provider of Professional Services with offices across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Sustainability Consultant to join their newly established department based in Nicosia. As a Sustainability Consultant, you will be working on multiple simultaneous client engagements with a variety of clients, industries, market segments, and sizes. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, ESG Data Analytics, or similar, who possess at least 1+ year of experience in sustainability consulting roles, or similar. You will need to hold sound knowledge of current and evolving EU sustainability compliance frameworks, with any prior experience carrying out ESG audits in the financial services sector considered an advantage. Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support ESG maturity assessments, materiality analysis and development of sustainability strategy.
- Support carbon footprint measurement and GHG accounting.
- Assist with ESG assurance engagements and independent certifications.
- Support investment firms with SFDR-related compliance.
- Support corporate governance advisory.
- Deliver ESG training and awareness sessions for client teams.
- Stay current on evolving EU and Cyprus-specific ESG regulatory developments.
- Drafting Sustainability reports.
- Managing ESG data and ESG KPIs.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Newly qualified accountants and auditors with the required experience as per below are also a good match.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in sustainability, ESG, or related consulting.
- Familiarity with ESRS/CSRD, GRI, VSME, or SFDR frameworks is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent communication in English (Greek is a plus).
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements and work collaboratively across teams.
