Tax Associate

Responsibilities:
This job position has the following responsibilities and duties:
- Assist tax managers and senior associates in providing direct tax advisory and consultation services
- Support the development and implementation of effective tax strategies
- Conduct research and analysis to identify tax-saving opportunities and mitigate tax risks
- Prepare and review various tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, trust)
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely submission of assigned tax filings
- Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to help maintain compliance
- Support client relationships by delivering responsive, high-quality service
- Address client tax concerns and help communicate complex tax concepts clearly
- Collaborate with team members to meet client expectations and firm goals
- Maintain organised documentation and workpapers for client engagements
- Participate in internal training and professional development initiatives
- Follow firm policies, procedures, and standards of practice
- Perform any other related duties that may be assigned by the management from time to time.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have the following skills, education, and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- Prior experience in tax preparation and compliance is preferred
- Foundational knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
