Doorstep Multibrand Kitchens is a fast-growing food company operating multiple restaurant brands from shared kitchen locations across Cyprus.
We currently manage three exciting brands: Marinado, Flipstreet Burgers, and Makai Poke Bowls, with a strong focus on delivery, operational excellence, food quality, and a 5-star customer experience.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly structured, detail-oriented, and confident Training & Operational Standards Manager to join our team.
Role Objective
The Training & Operational Standards Manager will be responsible for safeguarding Doorstep’s operational standards across all locations.
This role combines practical staff training, certification, SOP implementation, and unannounced operational audits. The goal is to make sure that every team member is properly trained, every store follows the correct procedures, and our standards are applied consistently across all Doorstep kitchens.
The role reports directly to the Head of Operations and works closely with Area Managers, Store Managers, Shift Leaders, and kitchen teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Train and certify new kitchen staff, POS Coordinators, cleaners, and other operational team members.
- Maintain a clear master list of trained and certified employees per role, station, and store.
- Ensure that no employee is assigned responsibilities without proper practical training.
- Cross-train Shift Leaders so they can support both kitchen and POS operations and handle basic operational emergencies.
- Conduct unannounced operational audits across all Doorstep locations.
- Inspect food preparation, ingredient freshness, station setup, timestamp labels, cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Review whether Store Managers and Shift Leaders are properly completing opening, mid-shift, closing, cleaning, and safety checklists.
- Perform ready-bag checks to ensure orders match the ticket and packaging standards are followed.
- Support the mystery shopper process and other quality control initiatives.
- Give each store a clear audit score based on agreed company standards.
- Debrief Store Managers on failed standards, agree corrective actions, and set clear deadlines.
- Trigger immediate retraining when standards drop.
- Escalate repeated or unresolved issues to the Head of Operations.
- Suggest improvements to training materials, SOPs, checklists, and operational systems.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys structure, standards, checklists, training, and consistent execution. The right person must be comfortable working on the kitchen floor, giving clear feedback, correcting mistakes, and holding people accountable in a professional and constructive way. This is a hands-on operational role. It is not an office-only position.
Key Skills & Characteristics
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food preparation, stations, and daily routines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Clear and confident communication.
- Ability to train, coach, and correct people constructively.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
- Comfortable with checklists, SOPs, audits, and structured follow-up.
- Able to command respect without creating unnecessary tension.
- Willingness to travel between all Doorstep locations.
- Valid driving license.
- Flexibility to work based on operational needs.
Working Hours
The role is based on a 40-hour working week, with main working hours Monday to Friday. However, due to the nature of the position, some inspections and audits may need to take place during early mornings, evenings, nights, or weekends on a monthly basis. The schedule will therefore be flexible, with the purpose of achieving the role’s goals and properly auditing real store operations during different shifts and peak periods.

- Annual gross salary: €30,000, paid over 13 salaries
