Position SummaryThe Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with Cyprus statutory, tax, and VAT requirements. The role supports the retail business by providing timely and reliable financial information, contributing to effective financial control, and assisting in monthly and annual reporting.&nbsp;How you will bring value<ul><li>Maintain accurate general ledger entries, ensuring proper classification of income and expenses.</li><li>Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.</li><li>Perform monthly bank, cash, and balance sheet reconciliations.</li><li>Support monthly and year-end financial closing processes.</li><li>Process supplier invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner.</li><li>Monitor and reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.</li><li>Support cash flow management through accurate tracking of receivables and payables.</li><li>Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with Cyprus VAT legislation.</li><li>Maintain proper documentation to support VAT, tax, and audit requirements.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of corporate tax computations and filings.</li><li>Ensure compliance with IFRS and local statutory reporting obligations.</li><li>Reconcile daily sales reports from POS systems with bank and cash receipts.</li><li>Assist in tracking store expenses.</li><li>Assist the CFO and external auditors during audits and statutory reviews.</li><li>Maintain organised financial records and supporting schedules.</li></ul>What we are looking for<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.</li><li>2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably within retail, FMCG, or a multi-site environment.</li><li>Experience with Cyprus VAT and statutory reporting requirements is essential.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.</li></ul>&nbsp;To apply for the position please send us your CV to <a href="mailto:hr@splash.com.cy">hr@splash.com.cy</a>&nbsp;All applications will be treated as strictly confidential.
