Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Child Development

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational and play-based activities for children aged 1–4.
• Promote social and emotional development, including sharing, cooperation, independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• Observe children's development and adapt activities according to their individual needs, abilities, and interests.

Care & Wellbeing

• Provide a safe, caring, nurturing, and welcoming environment for all children.
• Supervise children carefully throughout the school day, including during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, rest periods, and transitions.
• Support children's daily routines, including eating, toileting, handwashing, dressing, and rest, according to their age and level of independence.
• Encourage healthy habits, good hygiene, independence, and appropriate behaviour.
• Follow all school procedures relating to safeguarding, health, safety, hygiene, and child protection.

Classroom Management

• Prepare and maintain an organised, attractive, clean, and child-friendly classroom.
• Ensure toys, learning materials, and equipment are safe, appropriate, and properly maintained.
• Establish consistent daily routines that help children feel secure and understand expectations.
  
  Safeguarding
• The safety and wellbeing of our children are our highest priorities. The successful candidate is expected to follow all safeguarding and child-protection policies and to maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times.
• Employment may be subject to appropriate background checks, references, qualifications, and other requirements in accordance with applicable local regulations.
