CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an international manufacturer of machinery for the production of plastic bottles, we are seeking to recruit an Industrial Automation Engineer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing a range of products, systems, and processes. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Electrical, Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related field, who possess strong proficiency with PLC programming languages such as Ladder, Structured Text, and/or Continuous Function Chart. An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience, and working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Read, develop, test, apply software programs for machine programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to perform new tasks or improve existing functionality.
• Troubleshoot and debug PLC programs to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Develop, test, and apply software for HMI hardware.
• Learn to program Fanuc 6 axis robots.
• Read, design, and maintain Electrical & Pneumatic drawings for machines.
• Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation and training manuals.
• Prepare and perform training sessions to teach other Teams internally.
• Provide Technical support to customers for issues relating to PLC Software.
• Electrical wiring of machines, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in PLC programming languages, such as Ladder, Structured Text, Continuous Function Chart. Other languages such as Python and C++ will be seen positively.
• Beckhoff Twincat 2 and 3 knowledge or similar environment.
• Solid understanding of PLCs and Industrial Automation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• High attention to detail.
