General Manager (Ref: 491)&nbsp;Nicosia&nbsp;&nbsp;The Client&nbsp;The Architectural Lighting Department of a well-established local Retail company.&nbsp;Responsibilities&nbsp;A unique opportunity for an experienced Project Manager or Engineer with Lighting experience who has developed leadership capabilities, to assume General Management responsibilities of a state-of-the-art architectural lighting department within the retail company. The successful candidate will report directly to the company’s Directors.Main responsibilities include:<ul><li>Assume responsibility for the organization and efficient operation of the Company’s Architectural Lighting Department, ensuring smooth coordination of all functions and team members of the Department</li><li>Ensure that the Department is in complete alignment with the Company’s commercial policy and strategies</li><li>Create the Department’s strategic business plan and associated budgeting</li><li>Define and monitor sales targets, establishing a strategic plan and budget, organizing the Department, and cultivating a healthy client-base</li><li>Ensure that Department's services and overall output is of high quality</li><li>Assist in formulating a marketing plan and strategy for the promotion of the Department and its services, hence, strengthening its positioning in the market, in collaboration with the Company’s Marketing Department</li><li>Undertake networking and business development activities to strengthen existing business relationships with partners as well as expand the business with establishment of new partnerships</li><li>Attend exhibitions and events related to the clientele and the Department's field of activity in general</li><li>Act as a liaison between the Department’s team members and business partners</li><li>Coordinate with the Company’s Senior Management to develop budgets and funding plans for various projects</li><li>Supervise and manage the Department’s team members, reviewing their performance to ensure that all employees meet their job requirements, whilst fostering their professional growth</li><li>Provide guidance, motivation, and assistance to all employees within the Department</li></ul>&nbsp;Profile of the ideal candidate&nbsp;<ul><li>University degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design, or a related field</li><li>A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a PMP certificate will be considered an advantage</li><li>At least 5 years of experience in a Management / Supervisory / Team Lead role with similar responsibilities</li><li>A working background as a Project Manager, Lighting Engineer, or Interior Designer within the Lighting sector</li><li>Very good leadership and people management skills</li><li>Very good interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>A critical thinker with a commercial mindset</li><li>Dynamic, with an ability to take initiatives, strategise, solve problems and deliver results</li><li>Tech savvy</li><li>Very good knowledge of Greek and English</li></ul>&nbsp;Benefits&nbsp;An attractive remuneration package will be discussed and offered to the successful candidate according to qualifications and experience.
