The Operational Manager hereby referred to as OM is expected to:-Encourage high standards in all aspects of school life;-Contribute to the effective and efficient management of the school;-Promote a school culture that is happy, purposeful and productive;-Support and motivate pupils, teachers and other school employees;-Encourage consultation and discussion.&nbsp;Position Type: Full-time / 08:00am – 16:00pmReports To: School Director / Head of School&nbsp;Position Summary:We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and collaborative Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day non-academic functions of our kindergarten. This role is key to ensuring that our school runs smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with our educational philosophy and commitment to a nurturing learning environment.&nbsp;Personal Attributes:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Warm, approachable, and child-friendly demeanor.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Problem-solver with a calm, flexible attitude.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Warm and welcoming communications with parents, partners and Giving Tree Community members.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities:Administrative &amp; Operational Oversight•&nbsp;Manage and optimize daily school operations including scheduling, logistics, and afternoon program coordination.•&nbsp;Maintain student and staff records in accordance with regulatory standards.•&nbsp;Monitor supplies and inventory; coordinate ordering and purchasing.&nbsp;Health &amp; Safety Compliance•&nbsp;Ensure that the school meets all health, safety, and licensing requirements.•&nbsp;Conduct routine checks and coordinate facility maintenance and repairs.•&nbsp;Maintain emergency protocols and ensure all staff are trained and prepared.&nbsp;Communication &amp; Collaboration•&nbsp;Act as a key point of contact for parents regarding operational concerns.•&nbsp;Support communication between staff, administration, and external vendors.•&nbsp;Help plan and coordinate school events, field trips, and enrichment programs.&nbsp;Financial &amp; Budget Support•&nbsp;Assist with budget tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting.•&nbsp;Manage spreadsheets for our accountants for invoicing and petty cash systems in collaboration with the school’s finance team.&nbsp;Staff &amp; Team Support•&nbsp;Support onboarding and training processes for new hires.•&nbsp;Help with scheduling and coordination of staff meetings, professional development, and coverage needs.&nbsp;Community &amp; Parent Engagement·&nbsp; Foster strong relationships with families, encouraging parental involvement in learning experiences, school projects, and cultural celebrations.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Communicate regularly with parents through meetings, workshops, and digital documentation, ensuring transparency and shared understanding of the educational approach.·&nbsp;&nbsp; Create a welcoming and inclusive school culture where families from diverse backgrounds feel seen, valued, and respected.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; An active role in creating and organizing community initiatives such as Winter Fair, Charity Campaigns, Art Exhibition, Community Gatherings, Parent Work shops and School Concerts.&nbsp;Qualifications:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Proven experience in operations, administration, or school management (early childhood/kindergarten experience preferred).·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong organizational and multitasking skills.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Proficiency in office software and school management systems.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Familiarity with local childcare licensing and regulations is a plus.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Degree in Psychology, Educational Management, Early Years or Primary Educator&nbsp;&nbsp;Send your CV and a short cover letter to Melanie Lemona&nbsp;Email:&nbsp;melaniepappas_316@hotmail.co.uk
