The Academy’s motto&nbsp;“To Grow and to Serve”&nbsp;underlies the philosophy of the Academy and encourages all children to be leading citizens and lifelong learners.&nbsp;&nbsp;We seek to recruit a&nbsp;Law Teacher (Maternity Leave Cover)&nbsp;to join our teaching team for the academic year 2026-2027.&nbsp;&nbsp;We offer:&nbsp;<ul><li>Competitive remuneration package&nbsp;</li><li>Creative, exciting, friendly and vibrant working environment&nbsp;</li><li>Personal and Professional development&nbsp;</li><li>Students that rise to challenges positively and enthusiastically, and have&nbsp;high expectations of themselves&nbsp;</li><li>Dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff&nbsp;</li></ul>Duties:<ul><li>To provide effective teaching of the highest order for the group(s) of students&nbsp;assigned by the Principal&nbsp;</li><li>To support the overall academic, physical, social, cultural, moral and spiritual development of students in the groups taught through pastoral care and guidance&nbsp;</li><li>To administer day-to-day routines, procedures and rules of the school&nbsp;</li><li>To provide a point of contact for parents of students taught in the class and to support the communication between school and home&nbsp;</li><li>To ensure that students are well prepared for external examinations for approved qualifications in the subject taught&nbsp;</li></ul>Requirements:&nbsp;Education &amp; Experience&nbsp;<ul><li>University degree or equivalent, certified by KYSATS, in the subject to be taught&nbsp;</li><li>At least one year’s experience as&nbsp;a teacher in a secondary school&nbsp;</li><li>Relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g. PGCE) will be considered as an advantage&nbsp;</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities&nbsp;<ul><li>Knowledge of general principles of teaching (pedagogy), subject specific curriculum design and assessment for learning&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of the English language&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of GCSE/A Level assessment criteria will be considered an advantage&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to identify their own development needs (professional and subject based), take ownership of their professional development and be prepared to improve their teaching practice and knowledge&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to communicate information and ideas using verbal, visual and written communication so that others (students and colleagues) will understand&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to use Microsoft office suite applications, management information systems (MIS) and training and education applications &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>
