Contract:&nbsp;Full-time, PermanentWork-mode:&nbsp;On-site in Nicosia (open to hybrid arrangement)Location:&nbsp;Nicosia, CyprusSalary:&nbsp;Up to €32,500 gross per annum (negotiable - depending on experience and qualifications)Working Hours:&nbsp;Monday to Thursday 8am to 5:30pm, Friday from 8am to 2pm&nbsp;We are recruiting for both entry-level and mid- to senior-level Accountants with this employer.&nbsp;Our client is a well-established, family-run professional services firm with over&nbsp;35 years of presence in the Cypriot market. With a close-knit team of approximately 15 professionals and a growing client base, the firm provides audit, tax, accounting, advisory, and financial reporting services to both local and international clients.&nbsp;The firm is a member of recognised professional bodies and international networks and operates to the highest ethical and professional standards. A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork, personal client service, and long-term professional development.&nbsp;The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the firm’s accounting function, overseeing financial reporting, month-end processes, client engagements, and supporting junior team members. This position suits a hands-on professional who enjoys responsibility, client interaction, and contributing to continuous improvement.&nbsp;Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform month-end accounting activities, including reconciliations and journal entries</li><li>Prepare financial analysis and reports for management review</li><li>Generate financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS</li><li>Analyse financial discrepancies and recommend effective solutions</li><li>Coordinate and monitor accounting engagements to ensure timely delivery</li><li>Establish and maintain primary working relationships with clients</li><li>Review existing accounting procedures and recommend improvements</li><li>Assist with audit-related activities and the preparation of supporting documentation</li><li>Prepare budgets and support planning activities</li><li>Supervise, guide, train, and provide performance feedback to junior staff</li><li>Ensure compliance with indirect tax requirements, including VAT and VIES</li></ul>&nbsp;Requirements<ul><li>Minimum 2 years’ relevant accounting experience</li><li>Strong knowledge of IFRS</li><li>Experience with VAT and VIES (essential)</li><li>Very good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and accounting software</li><li>Excellent command of Greek and English (written and spoken)</li><li>Strong organisational, leadership, and time management skills</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills</li><li>Ability and willingness to mentor and support others</li></ul> Benefits<ul><li>13th salary</li><li>Parking allowance (as the office is based in the centre of Nicosia)</li><li>Comprehensive training &amp; mentoring opportunities</li><li>Medical insurance</li><li>Provident fund</li><li>Friday afternoons off</li><li>Opportunity to work in a stable, family-run firm with a supportive culture and long-term growth prospects</li></ul>If you have any questions, or if you'd like to apply for this role, please send a copy of your resume/CV to Vas Georgiou at <a href="mailto:vasg@heilsarecruitment.com">vasg@heilsarecruitment.com</a>.
