Scope of duties&nbsp;The Junior Software Developer / QA supports the development, testing, maintenance, and quality assurance of software applications and systems used across the Group. Working under the guidance of Software Developers and the Head of Software Development, the role contributes to software enhancements, testing activities, issue resolution, and support of existing applications.&nbsp;The role combines hands-on software development and quality assurance responsibilities, with emphasis on building technical capability, software quality, and understanding of business processes and system functionality.&nbsp;Responsibilities&nbsp;<ul><li>Assists in the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications and internal systems.</li><li>Assists with enhancements, issue resolution, and maintenance activities for existing systems, including Danaos ERP and related applications.</li><li>Writes clean, well-documented, and maintainable code in accordance with development standards and best practices.</li><li>Assists with system integrations involving databases, APIs, and third-party services.</li><li>Works closely with Senior Developers, Business Systems, and Infrastructure teams to understand system requirements and technical constraints.</li><li>Helps translate business and functional requirements into technical tasks and implementations.</li><li>•Support deployments, updates and system releases under supervision.</li><li>Assist in providing user support to internal users and external customers under guidance from senior team members. Learns and applies secure coding practices in line with the Group’s information security policies.</li><li>Supports digital transformation initiatives, including process automation, reporting solutions, and AI-enabled initiatives where applicable</li><li>Follows change management, version control, and release procedures.</li><li>Supports compliance with the Group’s Management System requirements and contributes suggestions for continuous improvement.</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;Quality Assurance (QA) &amp; Testing&nbsp;<ul><li>Participates actively in functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.</li><li>Assists in preparing test cases, test scenarios, and basic test documentation based on functional requirements.</li><li>Executes test plans for new features, changes, and bug fixes across applications.</li><li>Identifies, documents, and tracks software defects, ensuring clear communication with developers and stakeholders.</li><li>Verifies fixes and ensures issues are properly resolved before release.</li><li>Supports validation of accounting-related, data-integrity, and workflow-driven processes.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists in improving testing practices, test coverage, and overall software quality.</li><li>Helps ensure that changes do not negatively impact existing functionality or historical data.</li></ul>&nbsp;Required Qualifications / Competencies&nbsp;<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or final-year students / equivalent experience).</li><li>0–2 years of experience in a software development role or relevant internship experience.</li><li>Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g. C#, Java, Python, ASP .Net MVC, VueJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap).</li><li>Basic understanding of databases and SQL (MSSQL or similar preferred).</li><li>Familiarity with software development concepts, APIs, and version control systems (e.g.Git).</li><li>Basic understanding of software testing concepts, defect tracking, and QA methodologies.</li><li>Willingness to learn enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, and document management platforms.</li></ul>&nbsp;Benefits<ul><li>13th Salary</li><li>Provident Fund</li><li>Private Medical Insurance</li><li>Monthly Nursery Care Allowance</li><li>Annual Paid Study Leave</li><li>Lunch</li><li>Parking</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;Why Join Us?We offer an engaging, professional environment where every contribution is valued, and your skills are applied in ways that make a meaningful impact.
