The PositionThe successful applicant will be responsible for providing accounting and bookkeeping services to a portfolio of clients from a range of industry sectors and will be a member of a dynamic and diverse cross-border team, consisted mainly of young professionals.&nbsp;More specifically:Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Bookkeeping and recording of all transactions in the accounting software</li><li>Maintain a complete set of books, prepare journals and post entries, keep records of accounts, and verify procedures used for recording&nbsp;financial transactions</li><li>Reconcile bank accounts, debtors, creditors, prepare working papers, review trial balances and underlying balance sheet accounts as part of the month-end and year-end closing procedures</li><li>Prepare and submit VAT/VIES returns to Cyprus authorities</li><li>Support the audit process, preparing relevant documentation and liaising with external auditors</li><li>Communication with clients in relation to accounting issues and tax obligations</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Holder of LCCI Higher diploma and/or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance, Economics, or another related&nbsp;field</li><li>Partly qualified ACA/ACCA will be considered as an advantage</li><li>2+ years experience as an Accountant</li><li>Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work both independently as well as in a team</li><li>Good knowledge of accounting software (Sofia) will be considered as an advantage</li><li>Computer literate and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel)</li><li>Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written)</li><li>Good knowledge of preparation and submission of VAT and VIES to be considered an advantage</li></ul>Benefits: A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered, based on experience, background, and qualifications.
