CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a highly reputable and long-standing Group operating in the Travel &amp; Tourism sector, we are seeking to recruit a Chief Accountant to join their growing team based in Nicosia. As the Chief Accountant you will lead the Accounting Department and play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our client’s operations. We are seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other closely related fields, and full members of a recognised accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CPA) are encouraged to apply. You will need to hold approximately 5 years of relevant experience, with any prior exposure to the Travel &amp; Tourism industry considered an advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English are a must. Our client offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package based on skills and experience.&nbsp;Key Duties/Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting team.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely processing of all financial transactions in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.</li><li>Oversee credit control and cash flow management.</li><li>Prepare management accounts, financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.</li><li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting systems and internal controls across group business units.</li><li>Collaborate with key stakeholders to support strategic financial decisions.</li></ul>&nbsp;Key Skills/Experience:&nbsp;<ul><li>Educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, or another closely related field.</li><li>Full members of a recognised accounting body (ACA/ACCA/CPA) are encouraged to apply.</li><li>Approximately 5 years of previous experience in a relevant role.</li><li>Prior exposure to the Travel &amp; Tourism industry will be considered an advantage.</li><li>Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.</li><li>Willingness to travel to company locations as needed.</li><li>Proficient in accounting software and MS Office applications.</li><li>Excellent command of both Greek and English.</li></ul> &nbsp;To apply for this vacancy, please send your CV, along with any covering letter to&nbsp;<a href="mailto:jobs@careerfinders.com.cy">jobs@careerfinders.com.cy</a>&nbsp;quoting the reference number ERG8228.
