Job Title: Lead AccountantLocation: Limassol, CyprusJob Type: Full-Time | On-siteReports To: General Managers / CEOsAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Head of Accounting to lead and manage our internal accounting office. This role is critical to ensuring the financial health, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth of our organisation. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, hands-on professional with strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices.Key Responsibilities·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and internal reports for management.<ul><li>Oversee budget preparation and monitoring, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.</li><li>Maintain the company’s accounting records, including payroll, operational costs, and other expenditures.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of employee salaries, labour costs, and consumables.</li><li>Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT declarations, ensuring compliance with all local tax laws and deadlines (in collaboration with the company’s auditors).</li><li>Analyse financial performance indicators to support decision-making and identify improvement areas (in collaboration with the company’s auditors).</li><li>Review and enhance the company’s accounting procedures, recommending improvements where necessary.</li><li>Supervise and coordinate the collection of accounts receivable, ensuring timely settlement of outstanding balances.</li><li>Collaborate with management on strategic planning and support with HR-related financial functions, such as salary structure and benefits analysis.</li></ul>Qualifications and Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/ACCA certification is a strong plus).</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.</li><li>Strong knowledge of local tax regulations and financial reporting standards will be considered a bonus.</li><li>Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.</li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills.</li><li>Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.</li><li>High attention to detail and analytical mindset.</li><li>Fluent in Greek and high level of English</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Competitive salary and benefits package</li><li>Excellent, collaborative and growth-oriented work environment</li><li>Career development and training opportunities</li></ul>How to ApplyIf you are a seasoned accounting professional ready to take on a strategic leadership role, we would love to hear from you!
