To support our growing academic and administrative operations, we are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Officer to join our team.&nbsp;Position SummaryThe IT Officer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, security, and continuous improvement of the college’s information technology systems. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong problem-solving abilities, a service-oriented mindset, and the capacity to manage both day-to-day IT support and longer-term projects.&nbsp;Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Technical Support &amp; Maintenance<ul><li>Provide first-line support to faculty, staff, and students on IT-related issues.</li><li>Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems.</li><li>Maintain printers, projectors, classroom technology, and other IT equipment.</li></ul></li><li>Systems &amp; Network Administration<ul><li>Monitor and manage servers, firewalls, switches, and internet connectivity.</li><li>Ensure data backup, recovery procedures, and disaster preparedness are in place.</li><li>Implement cybersecurity protocols and monitor for potential threats.</li></ul></li><li>User Training &amp; Support<ul><li>Provide IT induction sessions and ongoing support to staff and students.</li><li>Create user guides, FAQs, and training materials to encourage digital literacy.</li></ul></li><li>Software &amp; Database Management<ul><li>Support the operation and development of student information systems (SIS), learning management systems (LMS), and library databases.</li><li>Assist with updates, license renewals, and troubleshooting of educational and administrative applications.</li></ul></li><li>Strategic &amp; Administrative Tasks<ul><li>Assist management in planning IT budgets and procurement of hardware/software.</li><li>Liaise with vendors, service providers, and regulatory authorities.</li><li>Contribute to IT policy development, compliance, and data protection measures.</li></ul></li></ul>Qualifications &amp; SkillsEssential:<ul><li>Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.</li><li>At least 2–3 years of proven IT support or systems administration experience.</li><li>Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPNs).</li><li>Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux environments, MS Office 365, and cloud services.</li><li>Familiarity with backup systems, data security, and cybersecurity practices.</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong communication skills and customer-service orientation.</li></ul>Preferred/Desirable:<ul><li>Experience working in an academic or educational institution.</li><li>Knowledge of Moodle or other LMS platforms.</li><li>Familiarity with database systems (MySQL, SQL Server, etc.).</li><li>Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA, Microsoft Certified Professional).</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>A collaborative and supportive work environment.</li><li>Opportunities for professional development and training.</li><li>Competitive salary package based on experience and qualifications.</li><li>Access to campus facilities and participation in college events.</li></ul>Application ProcessInterested candidates are invited to submit to <a href="mailto:hr@casacollege.ac.cy">hr@casacollege.ac.cy</a> the following:<ul><li>A detailed CV/Resume.</li><li>A cover letter outlining relevant skills and experience.</li><li>Contact details of at least two professional references.</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;
