Company:Our client, a top-rated professional services firm in Nicosia, is looking to recruit an Associate for their Corporate Department.&nbsp;Position:The Associate will support the assigned Manager and Team for the day-to-day management and corporate work of a portfolio of Cyprus companies as well as companies incorporated in other jurisdictions.&nbsp;To apply click <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://app.ismartrecruit.com/jobDescription?x=E7pcmVkaHJzb2x1dGlvbnMubmV0XzkyMV9QUk9NT1RFVVJMX2VuQ9e">HERE</a>&nbsp;Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assisting with the incorporation and day-to-day management of legal entities in Cyprus and foreign jurisdictions and also assisting their Board of Directors on their corporate responsibilities and other duties</li><li>Review and prepare various legal documents, including directors’ and shareholders’ minutes / resolutions, Powers of Attorneys, agreements (such as loan agreements, pledge agreements, share purchase agreements), etc</li><li>Assisting clients with matters relating to agreements, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, trusts, etc.</li><li>Liaising with other professional advisers and public / regulatory authorities (as necessary)</li><li>Assisting clients with matters relating to the abovementioned</li><li>Performing legal research and preparing relevant reports</li><li>Other departmental duties as assigned by the responsible Manager and Head of the Department</li><li>Communicating with clients to receive or provide information required to complete all necessary work</li><li>Providing timely and quality service to clients</li><li>Working closely with the Compliance Department for AML and KYC matters including implementation of pertinent procedures</li><li>Assisting with client due diligence for corporate and trust structures (including the reviewing and processing of KYC documentation)</li><li>Assisting with transactional compliance matters</li><li>Ensuring compliance of various legal entities with applicable AML and Data Protection laws / regulations / directives, best corporate practices and internal regulations</li><li>Communicating with the clients and associates on a regular basis on matters relevant to the above</li><li>Carrying out any other duties and responsibilities that may be deemed necessary by the Management of the Firm</li></ul>&nbsp;Qualifications, Skills&nbsp;&amp; Experience:<ul><li>University Degree in Law (LLB)</li><li>Cyprus Bar Exams (or similar qualifications) and LLM in Corporate / Commercial Law shall be considered an advantage</li><li>2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role</li><li>Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)</li><li>Fluent business level both in Greek and English</li><li>Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to take initiative</li><li>Proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet strict deadlines</li><li>Professional attitude and appropriate work ethic</li></ul>Location: The position is for the offices of the company in Nicosia&nbsp;Remuneration:&nbsp;An attractive remuneration package according to qualifications and experience will be offered to the successful candidate including 13th salary and Provident Fund.&nbsp;To apply click <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://app.ismartrecruit.com/jobDescription?x=E7pcmVkaHJzb2x1dGlvbnMubmV0XzkyMV9QUk9NT1RFVVJMX2VuQ9e">HERE</a>&nbsp;Only successful candidates will be contacted.
