Sales Support & Ticketing Officer

 

Our Company is growing and looking to find a dynamic and motivated candidate join our Sales Department in Larnaca. 

The Sales Support & Ticketing Officer supports the Commercial team by handling group / Charter quotations, fare applications, ticketing processes, and agent or customer queries. This role ensures the timely and accurate processing of bookings and ticket-related tasks, contributing to smooth operations and excellent service standards. The officer will also provide assistance to travel agents, corporate clients, and internal sales staff on fare rules and system procedures. The position may occasionally require after-office hours work or rotational shifts, depending on operational needs

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and processing of group / charter requests, including quotes, seat availability checks, and contract support.
• Issue, reissue, refund, and exchange tickets in accordance with fare rules and company guidelines.
• Respond to travel agency and customer inquiries regarding fares, bookings, or ticketing issues.
• Monitor GDS queues and ensure timely handling of bookings and special requests.
• Coordinate internally with Revenue Management, Finance, and the Sales team to resolve ticketing or pricing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of processed transactions.
• Support the filing and application of special fares (e.g., student, marine, group), under supervisor guidance.
• Follow up with agents or clients regarding outstanding payments or missing documents related to group bookings.
• Escalate complex or urgent issues to the supervisor for resolution.

 

Working Conditions:

• May be required to work outside regular office hours, especially during peak travel periods or operational urgency.
• Rotation-based schedule, including occasional weekend or public holiday coverage, may apply depending on team structure.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

• 2–3 years of experience in airline ticketing, travel agency operations.
• Proficiency in a GDS system (Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo) is essential.
• Knowledge of fare rules, group procedures, and basic IATA ticketing principles.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
• Customer-focused with good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and under time pressure.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools.
