We are looking for a motivated and organized Purchasing Assistant to join our Marine Spares Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who is looking to build a career in the maritime industry. Previous experience is not required, as training will be provided.
Main Responsibilities
Handling suppliers' inquiries and obtaining quotations.
Preparing and processing purchase orders.
Following up orders from placement through to delivery on board vessels.
Coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and vessel agents.
Maintaining daily communication with customers and suppliers.
Monitoring order progress and ensuring timely deliveries.
Updating purchasing records and maintaining accurate documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Maritime Studies, Shipping, or a related field or a related field.
Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken).
Good computer skills, including ECDL or equivalent Microsoft Office knowledge.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and attention to detail.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
08:30 – 17:30
1-hour lunch break between 12:30 – 14:00.
Salary & Benefits
Starting salary from €1,000 gross per month (depending on qualifications and performance).
