Part-Time Bookkeeper

Part-time · Hybrid (mostly from home, with some visits to the office) · Reports to the Director

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, organised bookkeeper to look after the day-to-day books for our two companies. This is a hands-on, part-time role focused on keeping our records accurate and up to date. It suits someone with some bookkeeping experience who would like flexible hours. It is a starting role with a clear path to grow into a wider finance position (see below).

What You'll Do

• Record income and expenses for both companies in our cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks or similar).
• Do regular bank reconciliations, including our Revolut business accounts.
• Enter supplier invoices and prepare supplier payments for the Director's approval.
• Keep track of patient and clinic invoices and follow up on unpaid ones with our admin team.
• Keep receipts and paperwork filed so records are tidy and easy to find.
• Prepare the information needed for VAT returns and support our external accountant and auditors.
• Produce a simple monthly summary of expenses by category.

What We're Looking For

• At least 1–2 years' experience as a bookkeeper or accounts assistant.
• Comfortable with bank reconciliations and processing supplier invoices.
• Experience using accounting software.
• Good Excel / Google Sheets skills.
• Accurate, organised and trustworthy with confidential information.
• Fluent in Greek and English.

Nice to Have

• LCCI or a similar bookkeeping qualification.
• Experience with payments in more than one currency (EUR, GBP and others).
• Basic knowledge of Cyprus VAT.
• Experience in healthcare or a clinic.

How the Role Will Grow

This is the starting role. Once you have settled in, delivered on the above and we are happy with your work, we would like to expand the role step by step into a broader finance position, with responsibilities such as:

• Monthly financial dashboards and management reports (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet) for each company.
• Expense analysis: breaking down costs by category, spotting which are rising and recommending savings.
• Budgeting and forecasting, with explanations of differences against budget.
• Taking ownership of supplier payments and cash flow planning.
• Tracking revenue by currency (EUR, GBP, CAD and others) and FX impact.
• Connecting our bank, accounting software and clinic invoicing system to reduce manual work.
• Financial analysis to support pricing, hiring and investment decisions.

Hours and pay would be reviewed as the role grows.
