The role

·        Maintain complete and accurate accounting records for a portfolio of clients

·        Prepare VAT and VIES returns and handle routine tax and compliance matters

·        Handle client payroll, including registrations, Social Insurance and payslips

·        Perform bank, customer, supplier and other ledger reconciliations

·        Assist with client payments through online banking platforms, where required and appropriately authorised

·        Communicate with clients, banks and relevant government authorities

·        Prepare accounting records and supporting documentation for audit

·        Assist with management accounts and other financial information where required

·        Maintain complete and well-organised accounting files

·        Undertake other work within the usual scope of the role

The person we are looking for

·        A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or another relevant accounting qualification

·        Around 3 years or more of relevant hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a professional services environment

·        Good practical knowledge of Cyprus accounting, VAT, VIES, payroll and routine tax compliance

·        Familiarity with OSS and commonly used Cyprus tax forms will be considered an advantage

·        Practical experience with QuickBooks, E-Soft, Intelisoft or similar accounting software

·        Good working knowledge of Excel

·        Fluency in Greek and English, written and spoken

·        Organised, reliable and attentive to detail, with a genuine willingness to learn and develop

What you can expect from us

·        €1,600–€1,900 gross per month, depending on experience and capabilities

·        13 salaries

·        35-hour working week with flexible working hours

·        Predominantly remote working following the initial training and familiarisation period, with in-person meetings when needed
