LLPO Law Firm is seeking to expand its team of professionals by hiring a new Accountant to join its offices in Nicosia, Cyprus. As we take professionalism and integrity seriously, we are looking for a team player who is organized, hardworking and able to work well under pressure. The selected associate will be expected to work alone or as part of a team contributing to the effective management of the financial and accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Holder of LLCI Higher / AAT qualification will be considered an advantage
Minimum of 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the professional services sector
Strong knowledge of Cyprus accounting & tax legislation.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., XERO, or similar) and MS Office (Excel).
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluency in Greek and English (written & spoken).
Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting operations in line with company policies.
Manage accounts receivables (issue of invoices, posting of payments, communication)
Manage accounts payables (posting of invoices, payments, reconciliations, communication)
Prepare and record journal entries and bank reconciliations
Prepare month-end closings ensuring timely and accurate management reporting.
Liaise with external payroll provider
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (VAT returns / VIES reporting / Social Insurance / PAYE / GHS, Defence, Income Tax, Ergani etc)
Ensure compliance with Cyprus tax regulations and accounting standards.
Liaise with auditors, external partners, and management.
Handle company’s Petty cash
Assist with any other related activities as requested
