CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of the most well-established professional service providers operating in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Manager to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, as well as overseeing daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, transaction recording, reconciliations, and financial reporting in accordance with IFRS. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another relevant field, be a qualified member of the ACA/ACCA. Our client is seeking applicants with approximately 5+ years of experience in the Accounting Department of an Audit firm, with strong knowledge of IFRS, Cyprus tax legislation, and VAT regulations. Knowledge of eSoft accounting software will be considered as an advantage, and excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English are a must. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, transaction recording, reconciliations, and financial reporting in accordance with IFRS.
• Supervision, coaching, and provision of support to junior team members.
• Review/Preparation and authorize VAT returns, VIES forms, and other statutory submissions.
• Prepare and analyse management reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
• Liaise with local authorities and external stakeholders, as needed.
• Provide clients with guidance and advice on accounting, VAT, and compliance issues.
• Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery.
• Responsibility for the timely billing and collection of fees from clients.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience in Accounting Department of an Audit firm.
• Qualified ACA/ACCA.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Cyprus tax legislation, and VAT regulations.
• Knowledge of eSoft accounting software will be considered as an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
