CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established, and well-known global business services provider with offices in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Senior to join their growing team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including maintaining accounting records for a portfolio of international clients, preparing VAT & VIES returns, and preparing management accounts. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field who possess at approximately 3+ years of work experience in a relevant accounting role. Partly or newly qualified members of the ACA, ACCA or CPA are welcome to apply, and fluency in both verbal and written English is a must. A highly attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th salary, Provident Fund and Medical Insurance.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintaining in-house accounts for international business clients.
• Preparation of VAT and VIES returns for clients.
• Recording transaction and book entries.
• Preparing management reports.
• Gaining exposure to a wide range of industries and accounting scenarios.

 

Key Skills/Experience:

• An academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar is desirable.
• Part or Recently Qualified ACA/ACCA are welcome to apply.
• Approximately 3+ years’ work experience in a similar position.
• Excellent knowledge of the English language.
• Sound knowledge of computers, MS Office, and familiarity with accounting software.
• Skilled in mathematics, communication, time management and typing.
