Accounting Software Consultant – Implementation & Support

BTMS is looking for an Accounting Software Consultant to join our team in Nicosia.

This position is particularly suitable for someone with an accounting background who would like to move beyond a traditional accounting role and develop their career in business software.

The successful candidate will work closely with our clients, providing day-to-day support and gradually taking responsibility for the implementation and training of our Accounting and Payroll software solutions.

Previous experience with business software is not required. Full training on our software solutions will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily telephone and online support to existing clients.
• Assist clients with accounting and payroll software-related questions and basic troubleshooting.
• Connect remotely to clients through support tools such as AnyDesk and TeamViewer.
• Perform software implementations & training to new and existing users.
• Visit clients when required for implementations, training or additional support.
• Work closely with the rest of the BTMS team to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing customer support.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate should:

• Have a good understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Be comfortable communicating with clients on a daily basis.
• Be able to understand business processes and explain software functions clearly and patiently to users.
• Be organised, reliable and methodical.
• Be able to follow established procedures and manage multiple support requests.
• Be comfortable working with computers and learning new software.
• Have a genuine interest in developing strong knowledge of Accounting and Payroll software solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

The following will be considered an advantage:

• Accounting studies, LCCI or other relevant accounting qualifications.
• Previous experience working in an accounting department or accounting office.
• Experience using accounting, payroll, ERP or other business software.
• Previous experience in customer support, software implementation or user training.

Previous experience in software implementation or IT is not required. Full training will be provided.

Working Hours & Conditions

• Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:30
• Lunch break: 13:00 – 14:00
• Office-based position in Nicosia; this is not a remote-working position.
• Client visits will form part of the role once the successful candidate has completed the necessary training.
• For client visits, a company vehicle will be provided or travelling expenses will be fully covered.
