One of our clients, a newly established boutique AML advisory firm, is looking for an ambitious, hands-on, client-facing AML Specialist to deliver end-to-end Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (CFT) solutions and high-impact consulting services to their clients (corporate service providers, audit and legal firms).

In this role, you will analyze client business models, draft customized AML policies, and advise clients’ teams on regulatory requirements and risk management procedures and strategies.

The Role

The person to be selected will report to the Management. Duties shall include:

·     assisting client compliance teams in reviewing KYC files of their customers

·     consulting clients, advising them on regulatory requirements (e.g., EU AML Directives, FATF standards, and local supervisory frameworks)

·     assisting clients in the preparation of reports to the regulators

·     performing independent AML reviews to identify vulnerabilities and deliver remediation plans

·     conducting enterprise risk assessments for clients

·     designing, drafting, and refining compliance policies and procedures (manuals, Know Your Customer (KYC) onboarding requirements and sanctions policy frameworks) tailored to each client's line of service

·     developing and delivering interactive AML/CFT training sessions for clients’ staff members

The Requirements

The successful candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, be self-motivated, persistent and with proactive approach. The required qualifications are:

·     2 years of experience in AML/CFT compliance or compliance consulting across professional services

·     university degree (Law degree will be considered an advantage)

·     strong, practical knowledge of international and local AML/CFT legislation, sanctions regimes, and regulatory expectations

·     excellent interpersonal, presentation, and report-writing skills with a proven ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical business strategies

·     excellent written and verbal language skills in English and Greek

·     possession of the ICPAC’s or CySEC’s certification for AML purposes will be considered an advantage
