On behalf of our client, a well-established Administrative Service Provider based in Limassol, we are seeking an experienced AML Compliance Officer to join their growing team.

The successful candidate will focus on KYC onboarding, client due diligence, transaction monitoring, and compliance oversight in relation the firm's international commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation, maintenance, enhancement, and ongoing monitoring of the firm’s AML/CTF and compliance framework, including the drafting, review, updating, and maintenance of all necessary policies, procedures, manuals, internal controls, and compliance registers, as well as the establishment and implementation of appropriate compliance processes and workflows.
• Monitor and ensure the firm’s ongoing compliance with the requirements of the Cyprus Bar Association and other relevant regulatory authorities, including the preparation, maintenance, and timely submission of all required reports, filings, registers, declarations, and other regulatory documentation within applicable deadlines.
• Conduct KYC, customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening, and risk assessments for clients, beneficial owners, and transactions.
• Oversee and manage the onboarding of clients, including the establishment, implementation, and continuous improvement of client onboarding procedures and workflows.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the firm’s compliance department, ensuring efficient coordination, communication, and support across internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Oversee and monitor compliance procedures relating to local and cross-border transactions.
• Review source of funds/source of wealth documentation and assess transactional risk.
• Monitor client activity and transactions to ensure compliance with AML/CTF obligations and applicable sanctions regimes.
• Prepare internal compliance reports, risk assessments, and documentation for Senior Management and regulatory authorities.
• Provide guidance to internal teams and clients on AML/CTF, sanctions, and compliance-related matters, particularly in relation to maritime, shipping, and commercial transactions.
• Assist with the delivery of internal AML/CTF training and awareness programmes.

• Keep up to date with developments in AML/CTF legislation, sanctions regimes, and regulatory requirements in Cyprus and internationally.

   

  Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in AML/CTF and compliance within a law firm or ASP.
• University Degree in Law.
• CySEC AML Certificate or equivalent will be considered an advantage.
• Successful completion of the Cyprus Bar Association Compliance Officer examinations will be considered an advantage. Otherwise, candidates must be willing to undertake and successfully complete such examinations.
• Strong understanding of AML/CTF legislation, sanctions compliance, and risk-based compliance frameworks.
• Knowledge of Zygos will be considered an advantage. 
• Experience handling KYC/CDD procedures, source of funds/source of wealth reviews, and ongoing monitoring for international clients and corporate structures.

• Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and oral. Additional languages will be considered an advantage.
