We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Financial Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality accounting and financial services to a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while adhering to the Company's policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate with the team of accountants in recording clients' financial transactions.
Maintain clients' accounting records and ensure books are kept up to date.
Manage clients' banking activities and related reconciliations.
Prepare payroll for clients accurately and within deadlines.
Assist in the preparation of corporate tax computations for clients.
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounting transactions and supporting documentation.
Review quarterly financial reports and provide updates to management.
Organise and monitor the audit process for client companies.
Liaise with external auditors and other relevant stakeholders.
Ensure the timely completion of quarterly and year-end closing procedures.
Maintain effective communication with management regarding client matters and financial reporting.
Perform any other accounting, bookkeeping, or finance-related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
University Degree in Accounting & Finance or another related field.
2–3 years' experience in an accounting, finance, or similar role.
Experience working with multiple clients or a portfolio of companies will be considered an advantage.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
Very good command of the Greek and English languages, both written and verbal.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Knowledge of payroll processing and bookkeeping practices.
Knowledge of auditing practices, Tax/VAT regulations, and Cyprus corporate practices will be considered an advantage.
Experience with accounting software will be considered an advantage.
Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
