Oversees daily financial operations and ensures the preparation of accurate financial statements, management reports, forecasts, and budgets, in collaboration with department heads.
Monitors daily revenue postings, verifies interfaces between systems and reviews reconciliations to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
Supervises the review and approval of rebates, paid-outs, float issuances, petty cash, and payment vouchers, maintaining full documentation and accountability.
Ensures timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes by coordinating all accounting teams to meet deadlines and compliance obligations.
Ensures that all financial transactions and reports are executed in compliance with hotel policies, statutory regulations, and applicable accounting standards.
Ensures robust internal controls are in place and strictly followed across all finance functions, taking immediate action on any discrepancies or breaches.
Drives improvements in financial processes and systems, including automation and digitization initiatives, to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Remains updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and financial reporting requirements and implements necessary adjustments in hotel financial practices.
Manages the hotel’s overall financial health by analysing key financial indicators, operating margins, labour costs, and expense ratios to provide actionable insights to management.
Leads the development and monitoring of the annual budget, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning processes.
Ensures effective cash flow management by monitoring receivables, payables, and daily banking activities to maintain liquidity and financial sustainability.
Oversees vendor payments, cost control measures, procurement compliance, and contract terms to ensure value and accountability in hotel expenditures.

Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
LCCI certification or an equivalent professional accounting qualification
Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CMA) is highly desirable
Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in hotel finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial finance role
Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Strong knowledge of hotel accounting systems and financial interfaces between operational systems
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and trustworthiness
Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to guest satisfaction
